FULL LICENCE TRAINING

PASS PLUS

Pass Plus is a training course specifically aimed at new drivers.
Statistics have shown that new drivers are likely to have an accident in the first two years of passing their test, so the Pass Plus scheme has been introduced to help new drivers to build upon their new driving skills and knowledge.

Pass Plus consists of six practical modules:

  • driving in town
  • driving in all weathers
  • driving on rural roads
  • driving at night
  • driving on dual carriageways
  • driving on motorways

Any full UK licence holder can take part in the scheme and the good news is you don’t have to take a test at the end of the course you will be continually assessed throughout the training. You must successfully complete all the modules in the course to an achieved or exceeded standard.  The benefits of Pass Plus apart from learning additional driving skills are some insurance companies take part in the scheme and offer discounts.  A list of partaking insurance companies can be requested from your Pass Plus registered approved driving instructor.  You could save more than you paid for the training course.

GET ME BACK ON THE ROAD REFRESHER TRAINING

A one hour driving assessment, will give us a good idea of your standard of driving. At the end you will be given an evaluation of where improvement is required if necessary and a plan formulated to help you to develop your driving skills.  If it is purely a matter of supervising you whilst you gain your confidence back we are more than happy to help and offer any tips to get you out their quicker on your own.

MOTORWAY TUITION

You may not be ready to take PASS PLUS but would like to take some tuition on motorways.  The school offers various lengths of courses and will take you on various motorways advising how to deal effectively and safely with them.

PARKING TUITION

I’ve never been able to park – have you ever heard yourself saying that?  Then why not take a refresher course and learn some very useful tips on how to park your car – its easier than you think.

MATURE DRIVERS – OVER 75

At the age of 75, 80 and every two years thereafter, you are required to obtain a medical certificate to renew your driver’s licence if you wish to continue driving on the road.

The school recommends that even though you don’t need to take an on-road driving test it would be beneficial to you if you took a few professional lessons to refresh your driving skills which you have been developing during your lifetime.   You may have never had an accident, but as we grow older our response times may not be as quick as they were possibly when we first learnt to drive and bad habits easily manifest.  With the schools help we will be able give you some guidance on how to keep you safe on our roads for the foreseeable future.
